Long Time, No See

So, it's been a really long time since I've written. In the event that anyone is still reading this, I'll go ahead and post an entry.

In case you didn't realize it, I arrived safely back from Chile on Feb. 24, the same morning that my sister had surgery on her lower back and 2 days before it snowed 18 inches in Charlotte. We have both recovered quite well. It was great to be back at FU for 3 months and catch up with all my friends.

Now, I'm home for the summer and working for Wachovia as a bank teller. I'm enjoying it so far, although it's hard for my college self to adjust to waking up at 6:30-7, requiring a bedtime from 10:30-11:30. Strange.

It's really hot out now. I was out on a boat yesterday (celebrating Independence Day with my family and some friends in SC) and totally fried everything from my chest up, including shoulders, nose, and ears. I'm a little sore, and walking outside is painful due to the heat.

This morning I had a security training class, and then they didn't need me to work after that. So, as I'm walking into my house just after noon, I see a lizard go running across the deck, fly off the end, suspend in mid-air, and then hear him hit ground down below. It kinda took me a second to realize what had just happened, but then it was really funny. I looked over the railing and didn't see him down below, so I'm hoping he got away unscathed.

Currently, I'm working on backing up all my work on my computer so I can upgrade from ME to XP and not have to deal with the "blue screen of death" anymore - or at least not as often. It's not cool having to save 3 years worth of computer work onto CDs... I'm paranoid that I'll forget something really important.

Well, "My Documents" just finished copying to a disk, so I'd better get back to work. Have a great day!

Soli Deo Gloria...
